A brief introduction

Hello prospective student!

If you’re looking for an experienced and passionate tutor to boost your grades, deepen your understanding and take your studies to the next level, you’ve found the right profile!

I am an expert in my fields, and have a deep understanding of the subjects I tutor for. I achieved a first class degree in Physics & Philosophy and then Mathematics & Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford.

I also earned my PhD in Cosmology at Queen Mary University of London in 2024.

I have been teaching and tutoring for nearly a decade. This means I have a wealth of experience of tutoring students with a wide range of abilities and at all levels from GCSE to Degree. I have knowledge of all major qualifications: GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, Pre-U and familiarity with a number of exam boards. If you’re looking for a specific exam board and syllabus, just ask!

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs. I am able to rapidly form an accurate impression of my student’s abilities and weaknesses so that I can adopt the optimal teaching style for them. In all lessons I aim to improve my student’s conceptual understanding of the topic and practical ability to apply methods to solve exam questions. For the most able students my lessons have the additional aim to help build bridges from syllabus material to higher level topics that they will encounter during university studies.

I also offer tuition in university admissions tests such as the PAT, MAT, STEP and ESAT as well as specific advice for Oxbridge interviews and personal statements.

Thank you for viewing my profile, and I hope to hear from you shortly!

Matt
