Welcome to TutorMate! Before you start listing your courses, we require a quick verification process to ensure a secure and high-quality learning environment for students.
How It Works:
Submit Your Details
Please provide your basic KYC information, educational qualifications, and a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
Verification Process
Our team will review the details provided by you. If any clarifications are needed, we will reach out to you within 3 working days.
Approval & Access
Once your details are successfully verified, you will receive access to your TutorMate dashboard, where you can list your courses and start tutoring.
Important Notes:
- Only verified tutors can list their courses on our platform.
- Ensure all documents uploaded are clear and valid to avoid delays.
- Providing false or misleading information will result in permanent account rejection.
By submitting your application, you agree to our terms and conditions for tutoring on TutorMate.

Tutor Identity Verification Checklist
Before your profile can be approved, please ensure the following documents and information are provided:
- 1. Identification – A valid passport or driving licence.
- 2. Proof of Residence – A recent bill or document confirming your address.
- 3. Standard DBS Check – While not legally required, obtaining a DBS check is recommended for tutors working with children or vulnerable individuals. Holding a DBS certificate creates a sense of security for students and parents, which may help attract more clients.
- 4. Enhanced DBS Check – Required for individuals working with children or adults receiving healthcare or personal care, as per UK law. If you plan to teach such students in the future, we encourage you to provide your Enhanced DBS Certificate. If not, you can continue teaching as usual on our platform.
- 5. Academic Qualifications – Provide evidence of the qualifications stated in your profile.
- 6. Teacher Training or Professional Qualifications – If claimed in your profile, please submit supporting documents.
- 7. Bank Details Confirmation – Ensure this section has been completed.
- 8. Right to Work in the UK – Proof of your eligibility to work in the UK.
- 9. Profile Quality – Ensure your profile has a well-structured and professional introduction.
- 10. Rate and Availability – Provide clearly stated and up-to-date information.
